Manchester United are not
looking to appoint a director of football, following reports that Louis
van Gaal is set for a role change, say Sky sources.
Van Gaal enters the final weekend of a disappointing season by taking his team into an FA Cup final against Crystal Palace desperate for his first trophy since taking over two years ago.
But speculation over his future continues to build with Sky sources understanding Jose Mourinho has been told the Old Trafford reins are his this summer if the club's owners decide to sack him.
On Friday, The Sun reported the Dutchman is set to see out the final year of his contract as director of football which would open the door for Mourinho to be the new manager.
