Euro 2016 top 100 players: Dele Alli and Kevin de Bruyne feature between 40-21
In the build-up to Euro 2016, we're counting down the top 100 players to watch at the tournament.

each player a rating out of 10 for their performances for their clubs
throughout the season. We've used the average mark of players to have
made over 20 league appearances for their clubs in 2015/16 to rank the
top 100 at Euro 2016.

40 Cedric Soares, Portugal (7.30)
Soares enjoyed a decent debut campaign at right-back for Southampton, and looks set to be the No 1 right-back for Portugal in France. He did, however, lose his place towards the end of the season under Ronald Koeman, appearing in just three games from March onwards.
Barkley started 2015/16 in impressive fashion for Everton, but failed to add to his tally of 12 goals in all competitions after February as his and the club's form tailed off under Roberto Martinez. Has featured in every single England game this season.
38 Marek Hamsik, Slovakia (7.31)
Slovakia's captain and talisman heading into France, Hamsik netted in their surprise 3-1 friendly victory over world champions Germany in one of their warm-up games. Has netted 18 goals in 86 caps.

Jallet is expected to cover for right-back Bacary Sagna for France at Euro 2016. Was previously also behind Mathieu Debuchy in Didier Deschamps' plans, but the Arsenal man's lack of appearances this season meant that the Lyon defender got the call.
36 Mehmet Topal, Turkey (7.31)
Featured for Turkey in their impressive run to the semi-finals at Euro 2008, but has missed out on the last three tournaments as they have failed to qualify. Netted his first ever goal for his country on his 58th cap against Montenegro on May 29.
35 Shkodran Mustafi, Germany (7.32)
Appeared three times during Germany's run to World Cup glory in 2014, but failed to feature beyond the last-16 after picking up an injury. Has impressed at Valencia despite a difficult season for the club in La Liga.
34 Toni Kroos, Germany (7.33)
Became the first German to win the Champions League with two different clubs after Real Madrid's success this season. Also won the trophy with Bayern Munich in 2013 and started every game in Germany's World Cup win in 2014.
33 Jonas Hector, Germany (7.33)
Impressive form for Cologne in the Bundesliga has seen Hector establish himself as Germany's first-choice left-back over the past year. Has been linked with a summer move to Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp.
A remarkable rise has seen Alli go from a League One talent to a Premier League superstar in just 12 months. Scored 10 times in the top flight for Tottenham in 2015/16 and also netted on his first England start against France in November.
31 Mats Hummels, Germany (7.348)
Hummels was the highest-rated centre-back in the Bundesliga in 2015/16. He is leaving Borussia Dortmund this summer to join Bayern Munich and was named in Germany's squad despite fitness concerns.
30 Thiago Alcantara, Spain (7.352)
Only made 16 league appearances for Bayern Munuch last season due to injuries, but was named man of the match three times. He won the Under-21 European Championship with Spain in 2011 and 2013.
29 Mario Gomez, Germany (7.364)
The 30-year-old enjoyed a brilliant campaign with Besiktas, scoring 27 goals in all competitions and breaking the record for most goals scored in a Turkish league season. With Joachim Low only naming two other forwards in his squad, Gomez could lead the line.
28 Granit Xhaka, Switzerland (7.367)
The midfielder has been on the move before the Euros, leaving Borussia Monchengladbach to join Arsenal. He has been capped by Switzerland more than 40 times and will be a key player in France.
27 Oguzhan Ozyakup, Turkey (7.369)
Ozyakup was one of three Besiktas players to make it into WhoScored's Super Lig team of the season. An attack-minded midfielder, he chipped in with nine goals and seven assists as Besiktas won the title.
26 Luka Modric, Croatia (7.37)
A key player for Real Madrid in the 2015/16 campaign, Modric will also be influential for Croatia in France. Among central midfielders, only Koke had a higher average rating than Modric in La Liga last season.

He might be 35, but Aduriz's fantastic goalscoring form was impossible for Vicente del Bosque to ignore. The Athletic Bilbao striker netted 36 goals in all competitions and was selected ahead of Chelsea's Diego Costa.
24 Kevin De Bruyne, Belgium (7.39)
Belgium head coach Marc Wilmots has said he wants De Bruyne to play as a No 10 at Euro 2016. He was Manchester City's highest-rated attacking player in the 2015/16 campaign, scoring seven goals and providing nine assists.
23 Gokhan Gonul, Turkey (7.430)
Fenerbahce's right-back was named in the WhoScored Super Lig team of the year and was the capital club's highest-rated player behind Nani. He has made more than 50 appearances for Turkey.

With 12 goals and seven assists, Nolito played a key role in helping Celta finish sixth in La Liga last season. He scored twice in a recent friendly against Switzerland.
21 Robbie Keane, Republic of Ireland (7.45)
The 35-year-old is Ireland's all-time leading scorer (67) and highest appearance maker (143), averaging 2.2 shots per game and with a pass completion rate of 83.9% in the MLS last season.
